earthweal open link weekend #43

Hello all,

As of Friday at this hour the American presidential election still hangs in the balance — who knows for how long — the waiting has been prolonged and agonizing. What are we going to do? Well, how about an Open Link Weekend? Sounds good to me! Link your favorite poem of the moment and visit your fellow linkers and comment.

Open link ends Sunday nigh at midnight EST, making way for a challenge from our own Jim Feeney, who takes us deep into the climate debate fray. Roll up you sleeves and take a few practice whack with your hammer!

  1. I am SO STRESSED, even from Canada. The world holds its breath, but it is looking good for Biden. Deliverance is at hand, hopefully not the same kind as the movie. America has shown they want the horribleness to STOP. Yay! So do the rest of us. I have never witnessed such a petulant narcissist over such an interminably long period of time. It has impacted me the same as an abusive relationship, of which I have had too much experience, which is why it bothered me so much. It will be such a relief to have reasonable discourse return to the airwaves. Hoping the official announcement happens soon. My hair is falling out. And Wild Woman needs her hair. LOL.

  2. I find his voice so sickening that I can’t listen to it for more than about 30 seconds…petulant narcissist is right, Sherry! And thank you, Brendan: I think an Open Link Weekend is the perfect antidote.

  3. I can’t wait for him to disappear from our television screens and newspapers. I also find his voice sickening, and the faces he pulls. I have my fingers crossed for some quiet decency. I’m sorry my poem isn’t more optimistic. It’s one I wrote this time last year.
