Hello, earthweal. I returned this week to your open link weekend. Please consider this one a lingering echo of last week’s post. I admit it came as an afterthought, but I pingback-ed to this

Your writing is lovely, Selma. I sadly must report that there is a wildfire burning in Lytton, B.C., right now – the town that was completely burned last year. Sigh.

I’m so sorry, Sherry, that your beautiful part of the world is on fire. Here it is just awful as well, and the prairie is burning, but we have no forest giants to lose as you do. Tho the heat is not exactly inspiring, I have written to it and will be by tomorrow to read.

I just read your comments here. I am so sorry to hear you are experiencing wildfires. Last year in Oregon they were devastating. The smoke-filled skies made me so sad. Wishing you rain for relief. I was too late to share my poem written for last week’s prompt. I have linked it hear instead.
Thank you for your inspiring posts. I really connected with the last one especially.
Take care,
Ali
